Jared K Hayley is a poet, songwriter, and educator living on Long Island. For fifteen years he has been a lecturer in writing and literature at colleges in New York City.
In other hours, he works on guitars. For eight weeks every summer, he works at Shibley Day Camp in Roslyn, NY.
He holds degrees from Columbia University (MFA, Writing, Poetry Concentration, 2003), City University of New York Graduate Center (MA, Liberal Studies, American Studies Concentration, 2012), and The University of Texas at Austin (BA, English, 1997).
Previous occupations include Editor of American Poet, the journal of The Academy of American Poets, General Manager of Hostelling International, Austin, and Client Services Specialist at Austin Resource Center for the Homeless.
